Money coaching for real life.Coach or adviser?
About us

Money coaching, not financial advice.

Buzz Money Coach helps people understand their money, build a plan and take the next action. We do not recommend products, we do not manage anyone's money, and we are not financial advisers. That distinction is the whole basis of what we do — so it's the first thing on this page rather than the small print at the bottom.

A proper conversation about your money
What we are

What money coaching means here.

A coach helps you see your position clearly, decide what matters, and actually do the things you've been meaning to do. That's it. No product is being sold to you, and there is no commission behind any conversation.

Buzz Money Coach

What we do

  • Show you where your money actually goes
  • Build a written plan with goals, owners and dates
  • Model the big decisions so you can see the trade-offs
  • Hold you to the actions you agreed
  • Tell you when you need a regulated adviser instead of us
Not our job

What we don't do

  • Recommend pensions, investments, mortgages or protection
  • Tell you which provider or fund to use
  • Arrange, sell or manage any financial product
  • Advise on debt solutions such as IVAs or bankruptcy
  • Take commission from anyone for pointing you anywhere

If you want the longer version of that distinction, we've written it out in full: coach or adviser?

Meet your money coaches

Real people, in your corner.

Andy Jackson

Andy Jackson

Co-Founder & Operations Director

Andy built Buzz to help business owners and families get their money working — clear plans, better decisions and real momentum. He reviews every Financial Freedom Score personally.

Peter Allen

Peter Allen

Co-Founder & Finance Director · AAT licensed

Peter brings 20+ years in finance to the numbers side — budgeting, cashflow and the practical planning that makes a difference. He is licensed by the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).

Between them they have spent most of their working lives looking at other people's finances. Neither of them is a regulated financial adviser, and neither pretends to be.

Why we built it

Why Buzz Money Coach exists.

Buzz Accounting spends its days looking at business numbers. What kept coming up was personal: owners taking dividends with no idea what the household actually needed, employees with three forgotten pensions, families who could not answer a simple question about their own spending. None of that is an accounting problem, and almost none of it needs a regulated adviser. It needs someone to sit down, look at it honestly, and agree what happens next.

The gap is real. Regulated advice is properly regulated for good reason, but it is designed for people who have something to advise on — a pot to invest, a pension to transfer, a mortgage to arrange. If you are earning well and still don't know where it goes, an adviser is the wrong first call, and you will usually be told so.

So Buzz Money Coach starts earlier, at a price that doesn't require a decision. A free score, a £39 health check, a £299 plan. If it turns out you do need regulated advice, we say so and hand you to Buzz Financial Services with your fact-find already done, so you are not paying someone to gather information twice.

How we work

Four things worth knowing.

We are paid by you, not by anyone else

Every fee is on the site. We take no commission, no referral payment and no kickback from any provider. If we point you somewhere, it is because we think it's right, not because it pays.

Nothing rolls over

There is no subscription, no minimum term and no automatic renewal on anything we sell. Sessions are booked one at a time.

We will tell you not to buy

If the free score is enough, or if the right answer is free debt help elsewhere, that is what you'll be told. Selling a £750 Life Plan to someone who needs a standing order helps nobody.

Your data stays yours

Bank connections are read-only. We do not sell data, run advertising trackers or send bulk marketing without your agreement. The detail is in the privacy notice.

The legal bit

Who you are dealing with.

Buzz Money Coach is a trading style of Buzz Money Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Buzz Financial Services is a trading style of the same company — one business with two clearly separated services, so you can move from coaching into regulated advice without starting again. Buzz Accounting is a separate company in the wider Buzz family, and works alongside both.

Buzz Money Coach provides money coaching, not regulated financial advice. Coaching does not include a personal recommendation about any regulated financial product. Where regulated advice is appropriate, we say so and connect you with a regulated financial adviser through Buzz Financial Services.

If you are struggling with debt, free and independent specialist help is available from StepChange and National Debtline. We would rather send you to them than take a fee for the wrong service.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how this works.

Are you regulated by the FCA?

No, and you should know what that means before buying anything. Money coaching is not a regulated activity, because no personal recommendation is made about any regulated product. The protections that come with regulated advice therefore do not apply here: there is no Financial Ombudsman Service route over a coaching session and no FSCS cover, because there is no product involved. That is precisely why product decisions go to the regulated-advice route through Buzz Financial Services — a trading style of the same company, Buzz Money Ltd — where advice is given by a regulated financial adviser and the protections that come with regulated advice apply. What you can check about us: Buzz Money Coach is a trading style of Buzz Money Ltd, registered in England and Wales, and every fee we charge is published on this site.

How do you make money?

From the fees on this site, and nothing else. The Financial Health Check is £39, the Financial Roadmap £299, the Life Plan £750 and coaching from £39 a session; the Financial Freedom Score is free. We take no commission, no referral payment and no kickback from any provider, and nothing changes hands in either direction when we introduce you to Buzz Financial Services. There is no lead sale, no data sale and no advertising business behind this site. The practical consequence is that "you do not need to buy anything for this" is an answer we can afford to give, and it is one of the more common ones.

What are the coaches actually qualified in?

Peter Allen is Buzz's Finance Director, licensed by the AAT — the Association of Accounting Technicians — with more than twenty years in finance. Andy Jackson is Operations Director, built Buzz Accounting, and reviews every Financial Freedom Score result personally. Neither of them is a regulated financial adviser, and we would rather say that on the About page than bury it in a footer. What they bring is years of looking at other people's numbers, business and household, and a practical sense of what stops people acting on things they already know. Anything needing an FCA-authorised adviser gets referred, not helped along informally.

Why is an accountancy business doing money coaching?

Because the same problem kept surfacing in accounts meetings and none of it was an accounting problem: owners taking dividends with no idea what the household actually needed, employees with three forgotten pensions, families who could not answer a simple question about their own spending. Almost none of that requires a regulated adviser. Advice is built for people who already have something to advise on — a pot to invest, a pension to transfer — so if you earn well and cannot see where it goes, an adviser is the wrong first call and will usually tell you so. Buzz Money Coach starts earlier, at prices that do not require a decision.

What will you refuse to do?

Recommend a pension, investment, mortgage or protection policy. Tell you which provider or fund to use. Arrange, sell or manage any financial product. Advise on debt solutions such as IVAs or bankruptcy. Take a payment from anyone for pointing you their way. There is no informal version of any of it either — no off-the-record steer because you asked twice, however reasonable the question sounds. That list is not a disclaimer bolted on at the end; it is the shape of the service, and it is why the fees are what they are. What remains once you remove all of it turns out to be most of what people actually need.

Who should not use Buzz Money Coach?

Anyone in debt difficulty — go to StepChange or National Debtline first, because free independent specialist help is faster and better than anything we sell, and they can do things we cannot. Anyone who wants their money managed for them; that is not a service we offer and never will be. Anyone who wants to be told which product to buy today, which is regulated advice. And, honestly, anyone who already tracks their spending, has a written plan and reviews it, because coaching adds very little to a system that is already running. We would rather say so than take the fee and discover it together in session two.

What happens to my information?

It stays with your coach. Scorecard answers go to ScoreApp and to us; coaching data sits in Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest and processed in the EU; your client file sits in Plannr, the CRM coaches work from. Bank connections are read-only, so nothing can be moved from any account. We do not sell data, we run no advertising trackers and there is no Google Analytics on this site. Score details are deleted on request or after two years with no contact; coaching records are held for six years from the end of the relationship. To request a copy or a deletion, email hello@buzzmoneycoach.com and we reply within 30 days. Full detail is in the privacy notice.
